Kids writing workshop with Sylvia McNicoll
This is one in a series of five Burlington Literary Festival writing workshops for children 8-12 led by popular Burlington children's authors.
Learn how to ignite a fire in both the reader and the writer—from the very first line. Author, Sylvia McNicoll, shares different approaches to starting your story with samples and techniques for each. Learn tips to avoid writer’s block and keep the excitement for your story electric to the end.
Equipped with your new toolkit, you'll get a chance try the techniques using your own ideas and then share with your peers.
Funding has been provided in part by the Burlington Arts and Culture Fund.
