With Chandler Levack, director of "I Like Movies"
A live video presentation, Toronto filmmaker Chandler Levack talks about her experience writing a screenplay for her award-winning and debut feature film, I Like Movies. Set in Burlington, the film is based on her experience growing up in Aldershot and working at a local video store.
Before there's a movie, there are only words on a page in the form of a screenplay—the foundation for characters and dialogue, action and plot, camera angles and editing that create the story and the experience of the movie.
I Like Movies was named Best Canadian Picture by the Vancouver Film Critics Circle in February 2023 and chosen for TIFF Canada’s Top 10.
Chandler Levack will present live through video on the big screen and will be able to see the audience and answer questions from attendees.
